Happy Birthday, Caliber!

October is in the air at Caliber – everything tastes like pumpkin spice and Monday morning conversations almost always include a story from the weekend’s hunting trip. Despite these signs, the biggest and most exciting event to anticipate this month is Caliber’s Anniversary!
This year, we’re turning seven! In honor of this wonderful milestone, we’ve selected seven of our favorite memories from our years in business:
1. Our Office on Cedar Street
When Caliber began in 2008, founders Brad DeVille and Casey Schultz worked from their basements and kitchen counters. In 2010, they discovered the perfect place to headquarter – on Cedar Street in Brandon, SD.
2. The Invention of Caliber Chrispmix
A last-minute hunting trip snack turned famous! In 2010, we gifted our first batch of this delicious concoction of almonds, chocolate and Crasins and named it Caliber Chrispmix. Ever since, it is a treat our clients, vendors and friends receive during the holidays, but request year around.
3. ADDY Wins
The South Dakota Advertising Federation’s annual ADDY Awards Show is always great time for us to take a step back and celebrate a year’s worth of work. Two particular years were extra special for us as we took home Best of Show for our campaign, “Come Closer” for Bramble Park Zoo, in 2013, and then again in 2015 we received a Special Judge’s Choice Award for our “We Make Smiles Happen” rebrand for Family Dental Center.
4. Caliber 2.0 Rebrand
In 2012 and 2013, Caliber experienced a huge amount of growth, so a rebrand was in order to reflect the great changes happening for our company. That’s when we embraced our new Caliber 2.0 logo, and left Caliber 1.0 in the past.
5. Construction and the Move to Sioux Falls
Along with the rebrand, it was time to get a bigger space and move to the big city! The corner of Highway 11 and 26th Street became our new home in Sioux Falls, which is where we are today. We continue to love our space and the increasing amount of neighbors we continue to meet every day!
6. Annual Summer Picnics
Every summer, we get Caliber families together for a summer picnic. It’s always outdoors with fun activities for all like kayaking, roasting marshmallows or knocking down a piñata. We love this time catching up with spouses and kids, and enjoying our favorite season of the year – summer. (Now if only the Caliber kids would stop growing up so fast!)
7. Sixth Anniversary Celebration
Last year, our sixth anniversary celebration started (and ended) with a BANG! We tested our sharpness at a local shooting range and proved that Caliber Creative is always on target. Think we can top last year’s celebration? Stay tuned…
